Frequently Asked Questions
Sizing, ADA compliance, pricing, delivery, and service — direct answers to the questions we hear most often.
General
How many porta potties do I need for my event or job site?
For events, plan one porta potty per 50-75 guests over 4 hours; add 15-30% when alcohol is served. For construction, OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 requires one toilet per 20 workers. Our event rep sizes this exactly for your guest count, duration, and food/alcohol profile.
Can I manage multiple job sites from one account?
Yes — that's our core differentiator. Our centralized customer portal consolidates billing, service reporting, and visibility across every site and state in your account. One bill, one rep, every site visible in real time. Built specifically for general contractors and national accounts.
Services
Do I have to provide ADA-compliant portable toilets?
Yes for any public event, public-accommodation construction site, or municipal project under ADA Title III. The rule of thumb is roughly 5% of total units as ADA, but specific event types (festivals, sports, weddings open to the public) may require more. We carry ADA inventory in every regional market.
What's the difference between a porta potty and a restroom trailer?
A porta potty is a single-stall unit with a chemical waste tank — durable and great for construction or general events. A restroom trailer is a multi-stall enclosed unit with flushing porcelain toilets, hot/cold running water, AC/heat, vanity mirrors, and private changing areas — built for upscale weddings, corporate functions, and VIP events.
Pricing
How much does porta potty rental cost?
Standard porta potty rentals run roughly $150-$300 per unit for a 28-day construction cycle, including weekly servicing. ADA units run higher; restroom trailers start around $1,200 per weekend. Final pricing depends on unit mix, delivery distance, service frequency, and accessories. Quotes are custom-built with no hidden fees.
What is the standard billing cycle?
Construction rentals follow a 28-day billing cycle (the industry standard, NOT 30 days). Event rentals are typically priced per day or per weekend. Multi-month infrastructure projects bill monthly. The first invoice includes initial delivery and setup; weekly servicing is included in the base rate.
Process
How quickly can you deliver?
Same-day or next-day delivery is available in select markets for urgent commercial and emergency event needs. Standard scheduled deliveries are typically within 2-3 business days. Expedited delivery fees apply for same-day dispatch.
How often will units be serviced?
Standard rentals include routine weekly servicing — vacuum-truck pumping, interior wash-down, deodorizer refill, paper and soap restocking. Heavy-use events and multi-day festivals receive more frequent servicing on a custom schedule. 24-hour emergency pumping is available in select markets.
What hookups does a restroom trailer need?
Standard restroom trailers require 110v / 30amp electrical service and a freshwater hookup (garden hose). When grid hookups aren't available, we can supply a generator and onboard freshwater tank as add-ons. Trailers also need level placement on firm ground with clear delivery vehicle access.
